Hi! I joined here, because i love the video lessons from Robert. He plays so good and explain all stuff, so i can play it too or i can try it 😉
I am now 51 years old and I play guitar since 1989 but after 4 years with a guitar teacher, i played with some guys but i moved away, so i could not meet them anymore. And in the new flat, i could only play acoustic guitar. I can play all common chords and some solos but since the time i study and married my wife and we have two kids (boys), so that i did not had enough time to play as often as i wanted. I never gived it up but only a few times in weeks. Now i bought me some new e-guitars and want to get better on them because its another playing as on an acoustic guitar.
This time i play everyday to become better and i hope i can use some tipps and exercises from Roberts courses.
I like many kind of music: Classic Rock, hair metal, Pop, Blues, classic (acoustic guitar)
My idols are eric clapton (i saw him live in 2018 in Hamburg), Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, U2, Whitesnake (Coverdale), Gary Moore, B.B. King (i saw him live too in Hamburg in the early 1990s), Jeff Healey, Jimi Hendrix (i saw him live in .... no, just kidding ;-)) and a lot more - i like all good guitar players in bands or solo!
I hope thats enough from me and sorry for my bad english (i hope my grammar is OK).
Greetings
Matthias
Welcome to MGA. I agree with you, Robert is a great player and instructor. I think you will have a lot of fun while further developing your guitar playing skills.
Your English was fine. I understood you very well. Your English is much better than my German [I don't actually speak German!]
Have fun!
Hello „neighbor“, greetings from Switzerland and welcome, Matthew. to MGA.
It’s so nice to read your introduction. Thank you.
It seems that you are very motivated. There is a great selection`of lessons. You will enjoy it.
And here is an option to keep motivation high for practicing guitar:
You could set up a « practice log » where you can describe the things you are working on. This helps a lot to track the progress.
Enjoy playing, Birgit
Hi Matthias, welcome here! Thanks for your support.
Glad you like my work. I am looking forward to hearing you play.
I believe Birgit is right - keep a practice log active (like she is doing) - it really helps.
