Hello everyone, I just joined. I got introduced to the website via a Youtube about I/IV triads. I'd attempted learning triads in the past but could never fit them into my playing, so soon forgot them. But the idea of learning the I & IV triads together is so obviously useful that I just had to join.
I'm a "forever intermediate" guitarist. I can play the common full and barre chords, know my scales, and can (with a bit of effort) work out pop songs by ear. But I've been attending a "school of rock" for 18 months and regularly get blown away by some of the other guitarists, the way they can hear a song, rapidly work out the chords and melodies. So I'm hoping I'll learn some more here - envy is a great motivator 😀
Nice Soniah. Welcome aboard.
Esteban from Barcelona.
Gidday, Im in Canberra, practically neighbours. Welcome aboard,
Hello Soniah - Welcome to MGA. I think you will find a lot of interesting material to learn from here.
Welcome, Soniah!
Glad to have you!
This is the course for + you https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/course/triad-voicings/
More talent from the land down under- it's good to get more global balance! If you are near Craig, you should definitely partake of his jam skills, he's a prime resource of good playing and sharing here at MGA.
I do like the description: "forever intermediate" guitarist. That's a big swath of country to cross but Robert has definitely given me the direction and confidence to travel further down the intermediate road. Hats off to you for jumping into School of Rock and playing with others. Welcome!
Soniah,
I'm just a country boy from the Southern United States, but I got to visit Sydney once (performed there, even) and really loved it.
You will find here an international community of guitarists at all levels, learning at the feet of Robert and challenging each other to get better. You are most welcome here.
