30+ years a bass player, going back to my first love of the 6-string now I've hung up the live gig and recording boots. I decided to play the blues as a solo home-based player, as an exploration of the foundations of rock, pay my respects to the greats and to learn what the heck has been going on all these years.
Also, its pretty hard to play a bass around a camp fire...
After much searching I decided i just loved Robert's style and feel it fits what I want to try and achieve, albeit in a smaller way.

Welcome to MGA Greg! I think you made a great choice. There's lots of fun blues lessons in here. You will likely be a busy man and learn a lot. Have fun!
We are getting bottom heavy here at the MGA with Bass Players and folks from Down Under.
Greg, I have to agree, "its pretty hard to play a bass around a camp fire..." And its a lot easier to move that wee guitar gear around then the bass rig.
Welcome to the MGA, its a good place to share and play.
