Hi, Im Jay. Learning to play guitar a little late in life. I used to play drums but my current job requires lots of travel and staying in Motels, so Ive been spending time in the motel rooms playing guitar to help relieve my boredom. I went guitar crazy this year and started a collection. Im lovin it. This appears to be a great site to learn from. I repair hail damage vehicles and travel to whatever town that damage occurs. Let me know where you live and if Im headed through we will get together and Jam !

Welcome, Jay.  Glad to see you join the boards.  Let is know your musical interests and what gear you like to play.

If you are on the road, the Taylor GS mini can be a good companion.

Welcome, Jay. Many of us members are 60+ late beginners. Very passionate, like you.

Atlanta schools are closed today (4/5/17) due to severe thunderstorms, HAIL and tornado warnings. Yikes!

I'm spending time during the storm practicing my Strat while we still have electrickle-city. That way, if lightning strikes my house, I'll go out playing!

I grew up listening to classic rock, but I'm really enjoying learning blues these days. I bought a few guitars last year, mainly fenders and gibsons and have a peavey classic 30 and a fender deville amp. also in the process of building a custom that looks similar to an sg

Jay, welcome.

De-Ville.... Crisp, Clean, Heavy and Loud. Hotrod series is a great platform to play clean or feed with pedals.
