Hello everybody
My name is André 54 years and i am from Holland.
I love to play Guitar and hope to learn al lot from this lessons.
I am a big fan of Stevie ray Vaughan and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
I play a little bit of SRV but no so good , i hope to learn here more from Stevie and Kenny.
Also i like Eric Clapton and Jazz music.
Since two years i play in a family band, that's very exciting for me because its all new for me.
I am to shy to play for strangers, and i hope to learn it here, with people i don't no.
Welcome, Andre'!
There are a lot of SRV fans around the MGA. I've not seen Shepherd, but I did see Johnny Lang several years ago at a local club- that was blues with a lot of soul!
I have yet to visit the Netherlands but my wife and I are avid cyclists and hope to travel and tour the region in the next couple of years.
Be sure to set up a practice log here at MGA.
Andre
I'm sorry, somehow I missed your introduction!
Welcome aboard. I hope that you will enjoy the people and lessons that are here within MGA!
Have fun.
André ( blues lover )
Thank you Clayton for your response. Johnny Long is a great guitar player. Kenny was June 9 in Holland, for me it was a great concert and looking forward to more.
I saw MGA two beautiful Texas blues lessons Mary had a little lamb and rocking my blues. Soon I want to make a start.
I was a few years ago at the IBC in Amsterdam for Avid pro tools and Media composer, very beautiful but too expensive for me. Maybe I'll see it once.
Andre
I think you will surprise your uncle with some new licks. Perhaps he will one day join you here on MGA!
I'm sure that jamming with your uncle is not only fun but also helpful to your playing skills. Finding others to play with is sometimes very difficult. It sounds like you have already found someone to jam with... my search continues!
That's right Chris, I love it to play Guitar with my uncle, he's is a great guitar player and learn a lot of him. We are busy with a new instrumental song. He made the chord progression and i try make the solo, in a bluesy- jazz style. I keep you informed!
Jamming with another musician is wonderful experience and skill builder. I practice once a week with a drummer.
There are many ways to record without expensive software. Check out the How to Record Yourself tab in the Forum.
Great to hearing that you practice once i a week with a drummer Clayton.
My brother play drums and sometimes we jam together. He on his Cajun and me on my Guitar. And he is a member of our family band.
I go practice and i a while i record in de record form.
Hello Andre! Thanks for joining! I like those blues players too and it's great to hear you are jamming with people! That's perhaps the best way to become a good musician. Nothing can replace real people!
Looking forward to hearing you play. Do submit a student focus video if you want feedback!
Thank you Robert for your response, I see many beautiful lessons. I'm looking forward to practicing them. If I think I can play something, I record it and let it be heard.
I like the Practice Logs!
