Hi I'm Ed from Alliston Ontario Canada. I'm 71 years old...been playing guitar since I was 14. Played in small bands from 16 until 25 then long layoff to start a business have a family etc etc. Recently retired, now back in a 5 piece band of guys having a blast. My equipment is 1963 Gibson SG (I bought it in 1963!) American Strat, American Tele, Les Paul Classic, Fender Blues Deluxe Amp and a variety of pedals. We play mostly vintage (1950s through 70s) Rock and a lot of blues. I currently play lead in this band. Looking forward to learning a lot more licks and technique.
Cheers Ed

Ok, so my math puts you playing right through the 60's, Ed. Nice pedigree to learn those chops! Interestingly enough, my first big concert was Alvin Lee opening for the Kinks. "Alvin who?" I said. Alvin Lee, I learned was incredible.
That's a great gear line up to make some sweet tones and rock the bones. Welcome to the MGA, I am looking forward to a sample or two of what you do.
Hi Ed, welcome! Wow, that SG sounds like a winner!
Hope to hear you play - post a clip or two and perhaps submit a Student Focus video?
Ed
It sounds like you are having a blast... I'm a bit jealous... still working... no band... no vintage SGs!!! Oh well I guess that means I have some good things to look forward to!!!
I think you will enjoy being part of MGA! Welcome to MGA!
Hi Guys Thanks for your commenst and good wishes.
Yeah its great to be in a band again although in the old days we used to play from 9 until 1 then have something to eat and get home around 4a.m. These days I need a nap right after setting up,(because like in the old days we're still our own roadies) We have a regular gig about once every 6 weeks at an "adult community centre" where the average age is around 60. This gig starts around 7 oclock, play 3 sets, people dance and leave about 10:30. and we finish at around 11. Very civilized timeframe!!! We're usually home around 1:30.
I'll post something next week and look forward to any comments you might like to make.
Cheers Ed
That's hours I would like too! I don't enjoy playing until 1 or 2... have done that too much and it completely wrecks the next day.
