My name is Glen Guldbeck and I live in Northern VA. I've primarily been an acoustic guitarist and singer for many, many years. I studies finger style guitar with Kit Alderson out of Santa Monica, CA since 1990 and studied the styles of James Taylor, Jim Croce, David Wilcox with him. All the while I was listening to electric infused guitar music I grew up with; Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Cream to name a few. I came across this site by accident a couple years back and had joined. But I didn't take full advantage of Robert's offering as I was still spending the majority of my guitar time with my acoustic guitars. I'm excited to now focus more on blues and rock styles and see this site as a wonderful launch pad to develop skills. Thanks in advance Robert for your guidance, encouragement, and lessons. Cheers everyone!!!!

Hi, Glen, great to have you here!
I won't be able to teach you much finger style guitar, I suspect! Maybe you can teach me? 😀
Welcome aboard Glen. Nice to have you.
Welcome Glen!
Hey Glen! Here is a belated welcome to MGA to you.
It seems that we share some things in common, as I too spent some years behind an acoustic playing fingerstyle music and developed an itch to start rocking out [bluesing out...?] with an electric guitar. Furthermore, I too came to MGA to help scratch the electric blues itch.
I think you will enjoy it here and find lots to work on and learn!
Once again welcome aboard ... have fun!
