Hello everybody,
I am a Brit living in Austria (which means that this year promises not to be boring due to "Brexit"..) I am a hobby guitarist and alternate between a Les Paul Studio and Fender Strat (blues mostly), a Sigma Dreadnought copy and a classical guitar built in Sao Paulo in 1935 that I was lucky enough to pick up after its repair in a violin builders shop that otherwise just sold brand-new, perfectly constructed yet very mediocre sounding guitars.
I have been playing guitar for eveeeer! Alternating between good and not so good. I've had lots of teachers over the years. I finally realized the problem was that these teachers taught to their milestones and not what I needed as an individual. I have now started the long process of unlearning al the scales and fretboard patterns and have gone back to "basics": CAGED, chord tones and arpeggios and of course always striving for musicality. And its working! Better late than never. Robert's youtube videos have been a big help to me in this. I joined MGA today partly to take advantage of the NAMM offer, but also to thank Robert for his all his hard work.
Hoping to get to know some of you guys!
Chris Wrighton
