My name is Tom and I'm pleased to join you all on MGA.  I've fooled around with guitar for 30 years, but decided to get serious about 10 years ago.  Play with a small local group, mostly for our own fun - everything from the Eagles to Allman Brothers to John Mayer to Vulfpeck, with blues / R&B as our core.  I am proud to call myself a rhythm guitarist and am looking to Robert and this community to help me improve my phrasing, rhythmic feel, fills and perhaps dip into the solo pool.   Lots of musical influences, but style wise, I look at a guitarist like Teenie Hodges, who worked with Al Green for years as a "model"..........he was never featured or dominated a song, but his presence was always obvious and he put the icing on the cake.

I'm anxious to dive in.

Hi Tom, welcome! Sounds like you have a fun band going there - got any clips?

Teenie Hodges... Oh yes, what a great source of artists for influence and stylings.

Welcome!
