I have my favourite picks. The most recent is the Dunlop Primetone 2.5 mm.

My other favourites are V-Picks.com and the Super Blacks Cocktail Picks - fantastic feel in these ones. Made by an old friend of mine in Japan  - https://hellparts.com/super-blacks-picks.html

When I started playing electric guitar in 2020, I experimented a lot with different types and thicknesses  -   and I got stuck with the Dunlop Tortex Jazz III  .73 thickness.

It’s the perfect pick for me because I quickly get used to the small size which is indeed very comfortable. The pick bends slightly on impact, I was impressed by the sound and I can play rhythm as well as solo.

So far I’ve used this type of pick so naturally that I didn’t even think about trying other types again.

Maybe it’s a good thing to start experimenting again! As the forum posts show: you can always go back to the old pick…..

Robert, way back when you sent me one of those picks and at the time it was scary!! So thick!  I, of course, lost it.  But now I am really get to where I like the thicker picks.  My favorite is the V-Picks Screamer. It's 2.75 mm.  But he has quite a few I like,  Tradition, Medium Pointed, Jalepeno.  @Robert, which of his do you like/use?

I like the V Pick Medium Round. Rounded edges makes for a better tone in my opinion.

Thank you Robert for mentioning the Dunlop Primetone picks!

To try out something new I ordered 3 picks including two Dunlop Primetone picks:

Dunlop Primetone Sculpted Jazz III – 1.4 mm

Dunlop Primetone Triangle Pick with Grip Brown – 1.4 mm

Dunlop Stiffo Max Grip Jazz III Black – 1.38 mm

My absolute favorite is the Dunlop Primetone Sculpted Jazz III – 1.4 mm. The best pick I've ever had.

Pretty small and with a rounded tip it glides great over the strings. Really comfortable between thumb and index finger with a low-profile grip. The sound is amazing for me: bright and clear. Perfect for solo and strumming. I’m delighted.

I can’t get along with the Dunlop Primetone Triangle Pick with Grip Brown – 1.4 mm. It’s much to big for me and I can’t play precisely.

Regarding the Dunlop Stiffo Max Grip Jazz III Black – 1.38 mm: I find the strong grip very uncomfortable and I can’t play precisely.

So I’m going to enjoy my new Dunlop Primetone Sculpted Jazz III - 1.4 mm pick for now 😊.

@Bluesiline, thank you for telling us about this/sharing this with us.  As you get even more experience with the Sculpted Jazz III's let us know what that experience has been.  Thanks again.

During an extended jam last night I reached into my pocket and pulled out my Dunlop Max Grip thick blue pic and added a new texture to my bass sound.  Edgy, forward, but slightly tamed with my palm muting back by the bridge on the Lakland P-Bass.
