I recently purchased a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 AI (audio interface). For the money it works reasonably well. I am using a condenser mic, cable straight from the guitar and headphones with it. The problem is the number of USB ports available on the computers are very limited. I purchased a 7-port USB bar with each port switched. The bar uses only 1 port on the computer. If I need to I can also ad more USB bars to this bar in a daisy chain. The nice thing is with the switches I can turn off my cam, IA device, and individual exterior hard drives as I like. When the AI is switched off the computer reverts to the monitor speakers or what ever speakers I have attached.
