I never played a bass guitar so this is new to me. As a complete beginner I went on YouTube and found a few teachers of bass guitar. I really got know bass guitar fever. lol
Actually, playing the bass now has shown me that my rhythm really hasn't disappeared. Maybe I've been playing the wrong instrument all these years. Funny how true this may be. My ears too, opened up like never before. The notes are very clear and I can somewhat easily find the notes on the fretboard without looking. (well, not all the time) But the truth is, I'm enjoying myself learning something new now.
I got the bass for less then 60 USD or 5800 yen. The bass looks new too. Had to buy a case for it. Not cheap, but not too expensive either.
Its an Fernandes bass, don't know the model name, just says Fernandes on it. My thinking is that it is one step up on the beginner side of bass guitars.
Also got an Aria bass amp for 5 bucks, yep, can you believe that . 500 yen for a working bass amp.
It's an Aria AB-20. Made in Japan in the 90's. Solid and heavy. Although not loud, but sounds good to my ears.
Here's a picture of them .
Have fun with that- feel the groove and let your body move when you're playing.
