I haven't fully devoted myself to determining the date as I have recently been away. However, it seems it may not be so easy as a serial number reference. The serial number thus far has not been helpful. I may email Fender to see if they can help.

From my Googling I see talk about circuit board colors, transformer codes, inspection code stickers and a few other ideas.

Welcome back

Chris, use the serial number to confirm the date.  And while that Jensen speaker fits the Fender sound so well, I've become a big fan of the Celestion V-Type.

Esteban, you're a lucky dog to have a Blues Jr. in Barcelona.

Yes it is...By the way, I will be 50 next month, so another 'lady' fitted with single coins is coming soon to stay......Yeahhhh.

This is the idea. Right now, some more songs have been composed and from them we will choose 4-5. The plan is to increase a little bit more the quality of recording....and it is no cheap, so better to go for modest project.

Just for clarification, I am not building the guitar...but following very very closely...

The guitar is based on classical stratocaster with some personal details. The wood is alder, what is quite common and the top is spalted maple....the fingerboard is Pao Ferro!!!

Since you are not building this guitar yourself, I am hoping that you will have more time available to play and write some new songs!
