As many of you may recall, I had posted requesting advice on Martin guitars. Despite the thread veering so terribly off course I received much valuable advice. And I didn't totally follow the advice but made a decision.
When we finished that thread, my wife and I had some wonderful wood fired Thai pizza, @Clayton was happy with my wife's and my date, and I had put a deposit on the guitar. Life really is good.
The Martin M-36 arrived at its new home the day before yesterday! And I'm really enjoying it. I don't know what more to say about it beyond what I said after trying it out. So very, very comfortable to play. I didn't expect the thinner body to make a dreadnaught size that much more comfortable but it does. Such great tone. I know that it is going to be wonderful for the acoustic blues I want to get back to.
And, of course, the new guitar smell is exciting me enough to get back to practicing that I have been horrible about lately.
Sorry about the horrible portable camera photo but I wanted to snap this to show you and get back to playing it!!
C'est Bonne! Bella, Bella, Ron!
I want to hear that wood sing.
Mazel Tov.
Ron, I gladly support Clayton‘s wish.
It would be great seeing and hearing your new beauty in action. I know that you don't like this wish but how about sharing just a small sample with us?
We would appreciate it very much.

Birgit,
I'll try. No promises but I will try 😉
Ron
Ron, thank you so much for your answer. But allow me to make it clear that I didn’t mean to take you off guard. That was not my intention.
In fact, I thought it could be a good idea because we all were so deeply engaged in your Martin M-36 purchase via your forum posts and you‘ve infected us all with your enthusiasm 😊.
I accept your decision, no promises.
All I can say is, enjoy playing. Your new beauty has to be conquered in terms of sound and playing technique 👍.

@bluesiline I never, not for a millisecond, considered myself taken off guard. Asking a for a sound sample when someone brags about a NGD is fairly common stuff.
