I'm not really familiar with stings for acoustic guitar since I always just buy electric guitar strings for them, but I want to try out some acoustic strings this time. I'm looking for strings that would produce a warm tone. I got a Morris W-18 .
Here's a video of some guy playing one. Actually the serial number is on the back of the headstock, he didn't show that part.
Here's a picture of mine.
Dr Tomastik flat wound are my go to. Made in Vienna
Hey Craig, thanks. I can't find them on this site: https://www.soundhouse.co.jp/search/index/?x=0&y=0&search_all=guitar+strings&s_large_category_cd=&s_mid_category_cd=&i_type=a
Can you give me a link where I might be able to buy them.
So what kind of "flat wound" material is used?
Thanks.
Hi Joe, here is a link to their website. All info you need re manufacture.

And here is a site in Japan that sells them. You would probably prefer medium gauge as they are a little brighter than lights.

Let me know how you get on! 😎

Hi Craig
Thanks for the link. They look like the strings I'd like to have on the Morris guitar. The guitar is almost 40 years old and belonged to a farmer here. He gave it to me. Has original case with a guitar chord book and tools.
Sadly, I can't order the strings. It required a credit card or types of payments which I don't have access to. Also, the shipping and handling charges are 1400 yen and that puts the strings kind of out of my budget. Don't mind the 2000 yen for the strings though.
Maybe you know another place.
Again, thank you sir
