There- I said it, as I wander into the wilderness of digital triggers and traps. Who knows a little about this subject?
I saw RR post about the MeloAudio Midi Commander, and I know some of Ye MGA'ers fiddle with such contraptions. Thoughts, reflections, blasphemations?

I'm interested in using a footboard midi to trigger DAW actions: record & playback on/off, Loops, expression pedal control, switching tracks,. And to better control my DSL40CR switching.
What worked well and what was a pain.
