I am having the first practice on Saturday! The band is using in-ear monitors and not real amps so I'll need a digital solution. 

There are so many digital solutions these days. Line 6 Pod Go is popular. I have the opportunity to buy a Fractal Audio FM3 to a good price but I am going to try some of my existing gear before I spend on something I won't use that much. There's a ton of Chinese multi-effects pedals and many of them are highly rated. Then there's Helix and Kemper of course. 

I have a new piece of gear that I will try today. Hopefully it will work for the gig. It's a pedal called ToneX. 🙂

The drummer is using an electronic kit. This so that we can have better control over the sound. By doing it this way, the sound of the room doesn't matter at all and the sound guy has 100% control.

I'm working on learning songs now. First gig is Sep 15 and I'm only playing half a set.

I've never played with in-ear monitors so that will be a learning experience for sure. I will able to control my own mix through an app on my phone, and that seems really cool. I will be learning a lot and I will share with you what I learn!
