My wish was always to purchase a Fender 59 Bassman LTD 45W 4x10 tube guitar amplifier combo. I saw a nice used one on the marketplace and I thought I would bid and see. I was able to take my guitar there and test it for an hour. This one can be very loud, it couldn't be done there in the living room.
I turned 60 last October 3 and treated myself to the Fender 59 Bassman.
I would like to share this with you, just took a photo with my favorite guitar and the tube screamer 808.
Now I have to ask if the neighbors want to go away for a weekend so that I can try out this beautiful Bassman. I'm not a great guitarist but I'll definitely try to get something nice out of it. In any case, I'm super happy to have it at home
André, I heard your Fender 59 Bassman on Youtube with maximum volume respectively had to stop before. Awesome. What must it sound like live?!
It looks so beautiful too - and matching the color of your SRV guitar. Awesome!
I think it's important to treat yourself to something you enjoy. And music and musical instruments are just something great 😊.
It's also right that you want to share that with us. I'm happy for you, because your text expresses so much enthusiasm.
Have fun playing,
Birgit
@bluesiline Thank you so much for your kind words Birgit.
Yeah the colors match with each other, I like that much.
Kenny use the 59 Bassman almost every concert with two other amps.
I will test it someday with effects and hope I can use this amp with the band someday.
Loud and Heavy! Wow, that is really cool.
Hmmm, I turned 60 last January and I treated myself to a 5w Blackstar HT5R MkII (tube) and a lunchbox size practice amp (which I will confess in a separate thread). I keep going smaller and lighter as I get older.
Now, practical considerations aside... oh, my, the beautiful full sound and headroom of a large tube and a few pedals on the front end. I have a modified Deville 212 that weighs about 55 lbs and talks loud and clean OR screams blues.
Crank It Up!
@clayton Thanks Clayton,
Than you have great amps too. I have hear ever someone play on a Deville 212 amp. That amp sounds amazing. Even if the bassman amp is heavy, i hope to play on him with the band someday. I have read that the bassman amp use by bass players too?
@stevie-dre The Deville weighs 55 lbs! 3 pounds more than the Bassman 😮
Bassman was used by bass players but not recommended. The speakers will blow out eventually.
