Stout Blues
Dear Friends,
Working these days on Stout Blues.
Hope you like it....
Cheers,
Esteban
Nice job! You did really well.
Now, I have to say the goal with something like this, and all my solo lessons, is to learn from it. Be able to use some of these licks, or variations on them, in your own playing. It's really hard to nail this complete solo without mistakes - I know from experience!
There are spots in your performance where I can hear mistakes, but that's okay. It is best to leave out any licks that are too difficult from your memory. Focus on the ones that work best, and then reuse them, or change them, for another track.
Well done!
Very nice playing. Good movement in your playing.
Esteban - A grand effort indeed. For me personally Stout is one of the more challenging lessons and takes a huge amount of discipline and dedicated single minded effort. I am really impressed with your take on it.
Dear Robert, Craig and Joe,
Sorry for the late reply and thank you, thank you so much for your comments. They are indeed of a great encouragement for the future courses.
If not wrong I started following Robert around 2009 more ore less in www.dolphinstreet.com. Since then, many courses, licks and tones of time with the guitar.
I have been thinking that now it is time for a quick auto-evaluation. So, in mind I want to revise some interesting courses and compare my performance at that moment and now. I would be very interesting to see any progress. Hopefully yes, but who knows.
Three are my main goals now:
Jump your blues,
Robben Ford Funky Blues - advance solo
Stout Blues
But I will continue with:
Chord Embellishments Hendrix Style
12 Bar Blues Solo
Bar Blues 1
6 Killer Blues Licks
You Got To Help Me
Slow 60 Blues
Get Close
Line It Up
Reconsidering Blues
St James Infirmary,
Jazz Blues Comping 1
We will see.....
A big hug for all of you...
Esteban
Don't forget my rhythm lessons - you really need to go through some of those.
