Oh yeah! On track! So far, I've watched the performance and part of the Deeper Analysis... Yes sir, lots to learn and pick up from this one. I feel like I have improved just from watching it! 😉

I love the Deeper Analysis details that really help provide insight into what makes this solo work so well.

Great solo... great lesson...

Thanks!

Dear friends,

I have been listening this exercise with great care....Ummm, you are right, smoking hot, but another real challenge from the MGA factory. This exercise will take time before being under control....but I accept the challenge....Very nice Robert. Thank you so much.

Esteban

Get my smoking jacket, that is hot.  And a whole lot of material, more bars than a college town. Looking forward to working on these runs and hearing some Members, but as Esteban said, "will take time."  Thanks, Robert!

It's a challenging one, but worth spending time on. It's a hip solo, and you can simplify some of the licks if they seem too technical. Looking forward to hearing you play (some of) this!

Thanks, I appreciate that. It's much more challenging than most of my lessons, but hopefully, by having material ranging from beginner to advanced, there will something for everyone. 🙂

i find that it helps to take a piece of the solo, say 6 licks, and work them over different backing tracks. Helps with timing and working in different keys. It’s also very fun. Just a thought

Yes, for sure Johnny! That's how you should all be thinking. Take a few licks from here and there and practice applying them to different tracks.

I've added an introduction now too -  https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/lesson/introduction-stout-blues/ - tried to make it look interesting and professional. Did I succeed?

Yessir, that's the way you do it, work those riffs over different tracks and bring 'em back when the've been tenderized.

Just took a fresh ear to the stout blues and yeah man! Cookin' up a storm and then some.

In my opinion you have reached right into the depths of soul and created a genuine MASTERpiece.

To try to emulate it note for note would be a hefty task to say the least,  but I don't think that is what is intended.

The concepts and creativity presented are worthy of much study and it is worth breaking it down into chunky bits and taken in small doses,  like all good medicine!!

Looking at it broadly- as a single entity- it has  a clever theme weaving throughout that comes and goes playfully. It has an uplifting vibe and takes you to unexpected places. Like all brilliant music, I could hear other themes and ideas surfacing in my imagination, taking me to my creative space and inspiring me to pick up my axe and let loose!

Robert, my humble thanks for sharing this glimpse into your creative spirit.
