Thanks Robert. I used a Fender Super Sonic setting on my Mustang III with an overdrive pedal. I'll do some tweaking, including the reverb like you suggest next time around.
Thanks again!
Ok here's my go at the complete solo. I changed amp settings on my Mustang to a Marshall type amp and toned down the distortion and added some more reverb as per Robert's suggestion on my last posting. I also did this one at tempo. It still needs work but it's going on the development list with a whole bunch of other stuff.....haha.
Anyway, thanks for listening.
Well done Ivan. Each recording gets better, faster, better tone... you're on the way and really progressing.
Thanks Chris!
You are the hardest working man at the MGA and this recording shows so much persistence and growth, Ivan. And while the tempo seems modest it leave little time for the guitar solo to hang on the beat. Congrats on taking the step to full solo at tempo- my work on this has yet to get me to tempo or more than 12 bars.
Clapton's version of this lays a solo burning up some riffs and then laying back in the end of the phrase, really sending out some blues angst. Ivan, you grabbed that feel on the previous submission and you are real close on this so keep playing, brother. You own this so make it yours every session. Fantastic Playing, Buddy!
Great job Ivan! Notes and timing is stellar. The only thing I think you can improve is the "touch". It's hard to describe, but it has to do with overall synchronization between left and right hands, and when you let a note die before playing the next one. I should try and make a video on this topic actually. This is just a small thing - overall, your playing is stellar.

Thanks Clayton...appreciate that.
I believe everyone here works hard. Some just have more time than others to dedicate to playing. Anyway, I had a lot of fun learning this one. But I think that was the easy part. The tough part now is putting it on the development track and get it under my fingers as my own. Just like you said. Tests where the real learning place I think.
Thanks again bud!

I think I know what you mean about touch. I'm not getting full note value by choking notes out and making them sound too staccato. I need to work on (and I do) milking every note for what it's worth......more legato. However, there are phrases and areas of the the neck that get my fingers all twisted around and than I scramble to get back on track and that's when I rush. I hear and feel myself doing it but it's just something I heed to work out.
Thanks again!
Dear Ivan,
Sorry for my late reply. Let me say that I heard your recording five minutes after posted. I am really impressed about your playing and your improvement is more than notable... Let me say, that honestly, I am very proud of you!!!!. Please, go ahead and do not stop... Blues on, my dear friend.
Working hard these days with 'Doc and Friends'....but tuned anyhow.
Cheers,
Esteban

Thank you Esteban, my MGA speed demon amigo......I appreciate that!
When you hang around, listen and learn from the best, you can only get better. That's what MGA is all about.
This is great practice! So many cool licks to remember and reuse at other times.
Here's my modest attempt on the first 12 bars. It was a big challenge for me to use thumb and index finger instead of a pick. Especially the timing is, to me, a lot more difficult than when using a pick. Even just starting out on the right time was challenging. But again - it's great practicing something you're not used to.
Please feel free to criticize!
Michael

Hey Michael....that was super cool.
You have a nice touch. Are you using your fingers?
Great job. Looking forward to the rest of the solo!
I second that! Nice touch Michael. Sounded very good.

Ivan, that was fantastic! How much better can that get? Sounds mastered to me.
