Love the lesson but I just started on the Bar Blues and very much want to hop over to this one but trying hard to focus on one thing at a time but you have so much great stuff here!
I think this is a wise though perhaps difficult to abide by decision... at least for me. Unless I put the brakes on I will jump from one cool lesson to the next. IMHO it is better to stick to one and get it down, otherwise you have a bunch of half learned lessons.
Reality is I may have a couple of things going at once... at different stages of development. Perhaps 1 lesson that only needs a little bit of polish to finish it up and a new lesson that still not fully memorized or fully under your fingers.
You are right there are lots of great lessons to work on here.
Hi Robert, love your lessons and know I have made the right decision to join but I have a question considering the "ii" chord in bar 9. I have read all the comments above but still am a little confused. I am away from home right now and can't try this out with my wife (she plays rhythm behind me sometimes) to see if it sounds good or not but when I do should I have her play an "A" chord (key of G) or some sort or transition (run up) to the I chord. Thanks
Sorry, I meant, runup to the V chord.
I am not sure I understand your question. Can you clarify?
The "ii" chord for a blues in G is A minor (or Am7). The lower case letters (ii) means it is a minor chord.
The "V" chord is D7.
Thanks Robert, you answered my question. You must think I live in a cave but I think I am just too used to playing the blues progressions all centered around the I, IV and V chords. Thanks again.
Dear Friends and colleagues,
Today is my first day with this excellent lesson...Unfortunately, unable to start before!!!. Many trips, many other issues....anyway!!!!
Please, let me shake a little bit the floor. Attached lick #1. No more, nothing else...
Hope you like it, but as usual, critics, comments, suggestions....are warm welcome.
