This is an Awesome course with multiple rhythm and solo elements that give some great skills. Jingle Bell Blues is fun, challenging, and has something that every level of player can try and apply at any jam session.

I enjoyed this course so much that I recorded my own version laying down all of the rhythm and solo sections.  Man, the rhythm sections are essential for any guitar player.  The accompaniment  double stops and rockabilly solos are challenging and give up some cool insights to the whys and hows.    Now I always take a course recording in my own direction after getting the lesson tracks laid down, so here's my take on the course: Jingle DWC

Happy Holidays!

Clayton,

What a great point this is.  Yes, it is, as you describe it,  "an Awesome course" and I was going to post this very reminder to everyone yesterday.  Although mine was going to be a little more negative.  What made me think of it is every year I say to myself I'm going to start this course and every year, after New Year, I curse myself for not doing so.  Well yesterday I actually started it!

I only worked on it for a few minutes and all I completed was a rough start to the first four bars of the chorus.  But I started it 😎 .

The remainder of November  and all of December a major portion of every practice session will be dedicated to this.

I'm not a jolly Christmas person.  Nothing puts me in the Christmas spirit.  (Ok. maybe Halle Berry at the front door in an elf outfit would. But I digress.)  But this is a fun course.  Perhaps after working on it a little bit there was a vestigial Christmas spirit.   Nah.

I haven't listened to your recording yet.  I will right now.  Maybe, just maybe, around December 26 I will post a recording.

Have yourself, a Halle Berry Christmas, oh my, yes.  Ron, great minds do think alike, including the enjoyment of the Jingle Bell Blues course, of course!

Hats off to you for getting into this project.  There is a lot of material, but I always find myself happy and challenged to work the rhythm fundamentals on songs.  Those boogie woogie rhythm sections are where it's at!

Thank'ee Craig.  That multi track recording was made at the end of my first year on MGA.  I learned soooo much about music and playing by recording...and listening.  Jingle Bell Blues challenged and coaxed me to practice and play.

I still cringe a little at some of the places I just can't make the notes, but it's a reflection of how much I am willing to forge ahead into the art.

I think we all go here.  Hindsight is bittersweet.
