Just wanted to mention that these riffs are very common in rock as well. Everything from Chuck Berry to AC/DC.

Here is the lesson page: https://www.masterguitaracademy.com/lesson/yl40-double-stop-rhythm-riffs/

You can choose between Front View and Fretboard View in the Soundslice player.

Enjoyed this, thanks.

As requested: this took about an hour half to learn to a reasonable level of proficiency.

Glad to hear! The pickup notes and rhythms for licks 1 and 3 are different than for lick 2 and 4. Those can throw oneself off. I tend to mix them up myself. However, that doesn't really matter.  Just 2 different ways of "getting set up" for the double-stops. It does give it more variation and makes it "better" in the ear of the listener, right? But harder to remember... for me anyway! 😀

Ok, I sat with this briefly on two sessions, and I'll say it was 15 minutes total playing time to feel comfortable in playing and knowing the "what's going on here" of the riffs. Lots of ways to use this concept.

Hello Robert! YL40 took about 20 min to get the feel down. The trick for me was solidify the picking direction to kick it off - goes back to that lesson from long ago on pick-up notes to start the blues.

I hope you are doing well. I've been poking around going back to the very start of my MGA lessons, doing a refresh on basic ideas. Your site is really amazing. If I want to learn about how to play in the style, not copy, you're the tops! Your new YL format is super.

Have you heard of the Vidami device, vidami.com? I just got one and it is fantastic for controlling Youtube content hands-free. Lets you control with your feet while you keep playing. Would be great if this would work within the MGA site.

Best wishes, blufly
